Andrade was awarded an MA in Making Plays: Writing and Devising for the Stage by Kingston University in 2011, received a Diploma in Screenwriting by the London Film Academy in 2012 and is currently developing his PhD research – Brazilianism: Translation and Adaptation of Contemporary Brazilian Drama through Devised Performance – at King’s College London.
Andrade has started his career as a translator whilst training as an actor in Brazil. He translated Portuguese writer Jose Maria Vieira Mendes T1; collaborated in the translation and directed the process of translation and adaptation of In the Solitude of the Cotton Fields, led by Gideon Rosa; also translated and adapted Closer by Patrick Marber to the Brazilian production of Estava Escrito no Rosto.
He has taken an active part in several productions in the UK, working as an actor, a writer/director and an Artistic Associate and Trustee at StoneCrabs Theatre Company.
