Alex Sabine

 

Alex has worked in education since 2006, across a variety of age ranges. In his core professional duties he is the Employability and Enterprise Coordinator for the University of Portsmouth’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, with a remit to ensure that students have a meaningful and impactful degree experience leading to decent employment and enterprise opportunities following graduation. Alex’s research interests are in the value of open source civic mapping in the public domain, including the value of community collaboration, collective resilience and belonging. He has extensive knowledge and experience of early childhood development, having been Course Leader for Early Childhood Studies BA Hons. Alex is also a school governor and chairs an MoU working group between the University of Portsmouth and Ryde Town Council.
