an oral history project

StoneCrabs Theatre Company is launching an oral history project focusing on the oral histories of Brazilians living in London, who migrated to live or study or as a result of the military coups, between 1960s and 1980s.

Through real-life stories the project aims to break stereotypes of Brazilian identity (i.e; carnival and football) and will look at their contribution to shaping the social, cultural and religious identities of London today.

Thanks to a Heritage Lottery Fund grant, BRASILIANCE will run in partnership with King’s College, Regent’s University and University College London, culminating in a final festival in London.
