StoneCrabs Theatre young creatives are looking for actors on the Isle of Wight for three short films.

We are looking for actors for 3 short films of approximately 5 mins long each. Actors must be comfortable with short rehearsal schedule before the actual day of filming in various Isle of Wight locations

Casting breakdown

Island’s Cry by Sam Lapham

Island – playing age mid 40s/60s; androgynous, wise.

Young person – playing age late teens/early twenties;  playful, strong willed, on the verge of being rebellious

Child – playing age between early teens; innocent, oblivious and curious.

Richard – male, playing age mid 20s/early 30s, any ethnicity; always dressed to impress

Miki – non-binary, playing age late teens/mid-twenties, ideally wheel-chair user or has had experience of being in a wheelchair; any ethnicity, carries a casual, alternative style

Further Details

When: Rehearsals and filming week 31 August – 5 September. Each short will be conducted up to 7 hours rehearsal/filming.

Fee: Equity rates

To apply: please send the director of the short are applying for an email with your current CV, photo, any reels and the role you would like to be considered for. Don’t forget to send us your phone/mobile number, and your availability for audition (between 24 and 27 Aug)

Auditions: If selected, we will email you a short text for you to prepare a ‘self-tape’ and/or invite you for an audition.

Engagement:  7 hours (Rehearsals & Filming) across 3 sessions that can be decided between director and actor on appointment.
